Product Claims
Makeup meets skincare. Colourdrip is a Vitamin E-infused lip-oil serum hybrid, which delivers instant, long-lasting hydration.
It features smoothening properties of a lip oil, the long-wearing comfort of a serum, the subtle tint of a balm, and the high-shine of a gloss. Formulated with Jojoba oil and Hazelnut Seed Oil, and Rose oil, it keeps the lips extra juicy.

Colourdrip Review
Before I go on with the review, I want to mention that I’m new to lip oils. Still, I have been using this Colourette Colourdrip for more than 2 weeks already. I feel like I’ve made a pretty good dent in the product. I prefer lip sleeping mask type of products. Therefore, I am definitely experienced when it comes to reviewing what a lip product should do for the lips.
Packaging and Feel
To start the review, I would like to begin with the packaging. It comes in a plastic container with a secure twist-on cap and a chubby doe foot applicator. It is not like the applicator you usually see in concealers. Instead, it resembles those in lip oils that can grab a lot of product.

Moving on to the product itself, I got the shade Sugar, which Colourette describes as a blush pink. The product has a slightly runny consistency similar to that of a syrup. Considering that, it doesn’t really feel heavy on the lips, rather it feels lightweight and non-greasy. It also delivers a shiny finish similar to a lip oil. However, it doesn’t have that high impact shine. This is because it does not contain any shimmers in the formula.
Also, like most lip oil and or shine-based lip products the shine does disappear after eating or blotting. But despite that, it still leaves the lips hydrated and smooth. On a similar note, it’s not really pigmented. First of all, I like this about it. Second of all, it has the slightest itty bitty tint to it that is noticeable, especially for their darker shades.

But before I move on to the ingredients, this product does contain fragrance. And I find that fragrance to be overwhelming and the taste is also not my cup of tea. The smell is fruity. It is like the smell of artificial watermelon in my opinion. The taste is that of fruit with a tinge of soapiness to it. This does decrease the overall user experience for me, especially as someone who does not like fragrance.
What’s in Colourdrip?

Next, we have the ingredients the product highlights. These are Jojoba Seed Oil, Hazelnut Seed Oil, and Rose Oil. Now, Jojoba Seed Oil is known for its emollient and hydrating properties. Creating a smoother and more supple look to the skin. This ingredient does make a difference, considering that I noticed my lips looking more supple and moisturized after application.
Meanwhile, the Japanese Rose Oil is good for its anti-oxidant properties. It can alleviate photoaging. Hazelnut Seed Oil is beneficial for its moisturizing properties due to its high nourishing fatty acid content. I do love the inclusion of both of these oils due to their amazing benefits on my lips. Considering that I do find the product extremely moisturizing and still light weight. However, I did try this as a lip sleeping mask and I would not recommend doing so. It lack heavy occlusive to really seal moisture on the lips.
Colourdrip Pros
- Lightweight
- Hydrating
- Not Pigmented
- Great Ingredients
Colourdrip Cons
- Scent can be annoying
- Taste artificial
Verdict
Overall, I would rate this product a 6/10 basing on its ingredients, formulation and overall user experience. Though, it’s a good product, it’s definitely not their best.
