Sunscreens are an essential to my daily routine, similar to how coffee is vital to students that cram before an exam. They protect me not only from getting sunburnt, but also from cellular aging from UVA rays. In that aspect, one could say that their sunscreen is their best friend against the sun. But is this SPF BFF sunscreen going to be my new best friend forever(BFF)? Lets, find out more in my review.

SPF BFF Sunscreen Review
I really love suncreens, since I didn’t grow up having the trauma of using a mineral sunscreen that was thick, sticky and had a ton of white cast. Rather, I grew up on Korean sunscreen, specifically the COSRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream. Which, was my first ever sunscreen that I have used throughout my junior and senior highschool years. Was it perfect? No. But it did introduce me to the world of sun protection and its benefits.

To start, the GRWM SPF BFF sunscreen comes in a white squeezy tube packaging, with golden and black colored fonts. It’s a broad spectrum sunscreen with a SPF rating of 50+ PA ++++. It claims to be both a sunscreen and something like a primer to use before makeup. In terms of being a sunscreen, I really love this product, like genuinely. I found it to be better than most korean sunscreen I’ve used. And I’ve tried a lot of sunscreen from Asian beauty brands like Anessa, Bioré, SKIN1004, COSRX, and Roundlab to local brands like Belo, Fairy Skin, and Fresh.
Why I love GRWM Cosmetics SPF BFF
Before everything else, I do have oily skin and I sweat easily. On a similar note, I do have post adolescent skin since I’m only 22 that tends to get sensitive when I break out. Therefore, I don’t have dry, combination, nor mature skin. Mentioning this is important because a product might not work for you, depending on your skin type and it’s preference. Now, moving on to the review.

The GRWM Comsmetic SPF BFF did not sting my eye at all. And when I say it did not, I mean like it did not irritate any inch of my eyeballs. Furthermore, it’s non-sticky, doesn’t have a ton of white cast, and doesn’t have any fragrance. One can see it in the image above the SPF BFF before and after application. The SPF is quick-absorbing as seen in the picture above, it took 10 seconds but it easily blended on my skin. Also, it can be seen that there is no white cast that could be seen on the skin. And I’ve never tried something as lightweight, easily absorbing or non-eye-stinging sunscreen like this one.
What’s In SPF BFF Sunscreen?
Moreover, I really like the formulation of SPF BFF sunscreen. It’s not only light on the skin, but it also has other skin loving ingredients. It also contains glycerin, niacinamide, heart leaf extract, adenosine, and panthenol. Which, are ingredients most of people are tolerant to and love the ingredients. Glycerin and Niacinamide are of the higher concentration on the ingredients list. Since, glycerin is known as a great humectant that can preserve moisture on the skin. While, niacinamide is known for its skin brightening and sun protecting properties.

Still, it does contain lower percentage of heart leaf extract, adenosine, and panthenol. Heart leaf extract is there for it’s anti-inflamatory and anti-oxidant properties. Similarly panthenol also has anti-inflammatory properties and has the ability to treat sunburn. Finally, it has adenosine that is great for reducing wrinkles but also soothes the skin from irritation.
Overall, I really liked this sunscreen. It’s one of the best I’ve tried from local brands from the Philippines and even international brands. I love this product that I would probably repurchased it when there’s a sale happening. Despite that, I still would repurchase it since it’s that good in my opinion. My only complain would be the price being 599 pesos (Philippine currency). Other than that, this sunscreen is perfect.
SPF BFF Pros

Verdict
Overall, I would rate this product a 9/10 basing on its ingredients, formulation and overall user experience. GRWM Cosmetics definitely hit it out off the park for this one.
